Unexpected Company

Brush and ink drawing inspired by the crowquill work of Mark A. Nelson, but not actually based on any of his works. Challenging myself to do fine crosshatching with a brush.

Brush was a mislabeled, cheap #8 (perhaps closer to a #9) round synthetic sable.
Ink was a new pot of Royal Talens Indian ink.
Paper was from my Pro Art, 8 1/2 x 11 inch, sketchbook.
